The Tempest is Dave Smiths and Roger Linns latest creation, a performance oriented drum machine that uses 6 analog synth voices for sound generation and lets you edit, arrange, create and manipulate beats all in real time.

It includes 16 pressure and velocity sensitive pads arranged in a 2 x 8 configuration.

The pads can be used to play, mute or unmute and arrange up to 32 sounds.

There are 2 pressure and position sensitive Real Time FX slide controllers that allow you to record sound parameter changes in real time as you play.

The 16 pressure sensitive pads can play 16 drum sounds, 16 drumbeats, 16 mutes or volumes, 16 tunings or 16 time steps when recording.

4 oscillators per voice, 2 are analog and 2 are digital.
5 envelopes per voice, 2 LFO
You can step record or record in real time.
Connect to your computer via USB midi or standard Midi IO.
Stereo analog compression and distortion on the stereo output mix.
