Perfect Silence

April 12, 2011

In the beginning, there was nothing but silence—perfect silence. Then there was the Big Bang, the biggest noise anyone had ever heard. It was a waveform from which all other waveforms came; waveforms began life, and life started to replicate itself and replicated waveforms in the form of analog sound waves. Next was the “descent into chaos” (Isn’t it funny how people use the words “perfect” and “silence” like they go together so well? The words “descent into chaos” are closely linked as well. It’s as though “silence” represents paradise in heaven and “chaos” and “noise” represent hell.) Mankind continues to do nothing but make more sound and noise (while loving making it!) and let others know that we exist to communicate with them by conveying the essence of life. This is probably why we’re so connected to sound.

There is a nearly ideal marriage out there now, between infinite resolution, high quality analog front-end audio products (microphones and preamps etc.) that are very well priced, and high resolution digital recording technologies, that perform better than current human perception, and are reasonably priced. Get these two together and you can create nearly Perfect Sound on a moderate budget….(so you can counter that Perfect Silence with your own, individual Descent Into Chaos and noise….)

Take a look at our Microphones, Software and Audio Interfaces in our online store. We have much more available than is shown online, so contact us if you can’t find what you are looking for and we will be happy to guide you as best we can!
